Storm damaged aluminium cladding repairs
Storm damaged aluminium cladding repair project was completed by our professional abseiler team on the roof level of Spectrum Tower, Ilford, London, which is one of the most remarkable achievements of our team. As the close proximity of this building to the rail line made the scaffolding almost impossible or extremely expensive, the directors and Longbridge Estates Ltd looked for alternative resolution for this cladding repair project, and finally found our professional team to complete this really complex project. The South side of the soffit and fascia system of the aluminium standing seam roof system was almost completely blown away by the strong wind a few years ago, which required professional repairs. Repair Abseiling Limited has professional background and extensive experience in bespoke metal cladding installation, design and manufacturing, so our professional team was definitely the right candidate for this extremely complex abseiling cladding installation and repair project. Over the heavily contaminated void area and roof edges by pigeons and the access difficulties to the roof area from the inside of the building, the weakly built standing seam aluminium roof and roof edges also made this project really difficult, so our team had to manage the everyday cleaning of the work areas, and build a special counterbalance rigging system, which made the access to the edges and soffit system possible from the roof level, without any disturbance of the residents of the building. Building the new cladding system from the beginning, finding the perfect match materials and colours, cutting to size and bending all parts to fit the original system was challenging, but our decades of experience and routine in sheet metal roofing and cladding works made it possible. Our abseiler team removed all excess damaged parts, reinforced the system, designed and built the new framework, and finally installed the new bespoke fascia and soffit system, which make the building and its roof complete again.
